Light grey clutch

16 Oct

This clutch purse is not vintage nor leather but it has a certain retro look and feel…and that’s what drew my attention to it. The lovely light grey colour makes this purse ideal for day or evening use.

Outside front and back: in mint condition; no scratches or stains; faux leather has a gloss but not a patent-type sheen

Zipper: fully functional; slightly stiff but slides well

Inside: lining in excellent condition; no holes or tears; not much sign of use; no inside pocket

Label: none

Price: R100

Vintage reversible black/white beaded evening bag

6 Oct

A beautiful addition to your purse collection, and one of my all time favourites! I will admit to having used this purse on a number of occasions because I just can’t keep my hands off it (apart from the lovely tactile feeling of all the little beads, it also adds some serious glam to any outfit – denims and t-shirt, LBD, or a vintage frock). But it’s time for my treasure to find a new home (I’m finally getting round to understanding the purpose of having an Etsy shop – to share my treasures with other magpies – and because my Zawunda cupboard at home is full to bursting)

Although this is a fully reversible bag the white side has some discolouration, so I have described the black fabric and beading as the outside and the white fabric and beading as the inside.
Outside (black): The fabric is in good condition and there are no tears or holes. There are a few beads missing here and there but because there are so many beads altogether, the missing beads are not noticeable.
Inside (white): The fabric is in good condition and there are no tears or holes. There is some dicolouration around the frame and a few pen-ink marks towards the bottom and seams. I think the previous owner only used the bag with the black on the outside.
Label: no label
Clasp: The hinges are intact and fully functional, as is the clasp; metal is in good condition

Missing: Although the chain is missing, the purse can be used as a clutch. When I haven’t had much in the purse, I have folded it over almost in half, and tucked it under my arm.
